The Gallery 42 is located on the first floor of a historical building on one of the most important streets of Florence (Via Cavour, Limited Traffic Zone); 500 meters from Piazza del Duomo and just behind La Galleria dell’Accademia, where Michelangelo’s original David is exhibited.
The Gallery 42 consists of five double rooms (not sound proofed); each with a different mood—as in a boutique hotel—and all equipped with private bathroom, LCD TV, refrigerator, boiler and air conditioning.
The owners’ creative backgrounds inspired a complete renovation to the interiors in 2018, and the attention to detail and passion for design can be felt in each space. Welcomed by the front desk people and they took my bags and offered me water immediately. This was my first time traveling solo let alone out of my home country and in each room they had places of interest and good restaurants to try. It was so clean and quiet. They even kept my bags until 4 pm when check out was at 11 at no additional charge. If I come back, I would definitely stay here again.
